Biometric & Live-Selfie Notice

1. What the Check Does

Kvenna uses a FaceTec-powered live-selfie session to confirm that a real person is present and to perform a high-confidence check that the person is at least 18. Kvenna does not use the scan to infer gender, race, ethnicity, health, emotion, attractiveness, or identity from appearance.

2. Data Processed

The live-selfie process may generate encrypted facial imagery, depth information, liveness signals, a 3D FaceMap or similar mathematical representation, session identifiers, device and diagnostic information, and an age-threshold result. Depending on applicable law, some of this information may be considered biometric information or a biometric identifier.

Encrypted session material is sent to FaceTec’s systems for processing. Kvenna receives and stores the verification outcome, provider reference, timestamps, reason codes, consent version, and security/audit records. Kvenna does not currently store the raw FaceTec live-selfie or 3D FaceMap in its application database.

3. Purpose and Use

• Confirm liveness and adult eligibility.
• Protect account integrity and reduce impersonation, duplicate-account abuse, and unauthorized access.
• Route inconclusive or technically unsuccessful checks to retry or trained review without treating them as proof of ineligibility.
• Document consent, verification, security, and legal compliance.

4. Disclosure

Biometric-session material is disclosed to FaceTec and infrastructure providers only as needed to perform, secure, troubleshoot, or legally support verification. We do not sell, lease, trade, or profit from biometric identifiers or biometric information. We do not disclose it to other users or use it for advertising.

5. Retention and Destruction

Kvenna’s current FaceTec implementation does not retain the raw live-selfie or 3D FaceMap in the Kvenna database. If Kvenna later receives or temporarily stores an audit image or raw biometric material for a permitted manual review, it will be access-restricted and scheduled for deletion within 30 days after the review is completed, unless a shorter period is required or a longer period is legally necessary to investigate fraud, respond to a safety incident, preserve evidence, or comply with law. In no event will Kvenna retain its copy of raw biometric identifiers longer than three years after your last interaction with Kvenna.

Verification outcomes, consent records, provider references, reason codes, and non-biometric audit metadata may be retained for the life of the account and afterward as reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, safety, and legal compliance.

Provider-side retention is governed by our provider agreement and applicable law. We require service providers to protect this information and use it only for contracted services.

6. Security

Kvenna uses safeguards designed to protect verification information, including encrypted transmission, restricted administrative access, service-role controls, and audit logging. No security system can guarantee absolute protection.

7. Consent and Withdrawal

By selecting “I consent” and starting the secure check, you acknowledge that you have read this Notice and voluntarily authorize Shadow Army LLC and FaceTec to collect, capture, receive, process, disclose, and store the described information for the stated purposes.

You may decline, but Kvenna cannot create or maintain a verified membership without the required check. You may withdraw consent prospectively by contacting legal@shadowarmy.us and deleting your account; withdrawal does not invalidate processing that occurred before withdrawal or records lawfully retained afterward.
